Oh, beautiful South Tyrol

We are at home in the mountains and know our nature like the back of our hand. Therefore, we are happy to provide you with personal tips and insider information on leisure activities and city trips on-site. We will show you the most beautiful museums, churches, and castles, as well as the most wonderful attractions in South Tyrol that you can easily reach from Hotel & Chalets Edelweiss.

Some of the top attractions in South Tyrol include: the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites with the famous Three Peaks, the picturesque Lake Carezza and Lake Prags, the Seceda, the Rosengarten, and many other well-known sights. But South Tyrol is so much more than that. Those who spend their holiday here visit a land full of mountains, lakes, and forests, full of traditions and customs, churches and culture, joy of life and friendliness. Look forward to all of this during your holiday at Edelweiss in the Senales Valley.

Beautiful promenades, magnificent buildings, historic streets and mansions - the spa town of Merano has a lot to offer. If you fancy a trip, you should definitely plan to visit this green city and also visit the famous gardens with the associated Trauttmansdorff Castle, where Empress Sissi once resided, go shopping under ancient arcades, spend a day at the Merano Thermal Baths, or take a walk on the Waalwege (irrigation channel paths)... Merano is about a 40-minute drive from Hotel & Chalets Edelweiss.

The famous fruit market, the Archaeological Museum with the Iceman Ötzi, many small bars, cafes, and shops - Bolzano is ideal for a day trip full of culture and enjoyment. A place where Italian joie de vivre meets South Tyrolean hospitality. In winter, the Christmas market in Bolzano is particularly attractive, making it one of the most popular in all of South Tyrol. The provincial capital is about a 70-minute drive from Hotel & Chalets Edelweiss.

We love our beautiful nature, which is why we at Hotel & Chalets Edelweiss strive to work as resource-efficient and sustainable as possible. You can also actively contribute to sustainability during your holiday with us: bring your own slippers from home, consciously avoid water from plastic bottles, and simply fill your own water bottle on-site with the best drinking water from the tap. Use buses and trains for your excursions, and be mindful of preserving nature during your hikes.
